ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Born in Uganda, an only child, the author was raised in Tanzania, with wild spirited African children as his brothers – leaving him to this day, with an unstoppable optimism and sense of fun.
His Childhood adventures were real, dangerous and normally involved animals, the sea and naughtiness. Being sent to an old English boarding school, and returning to Africa for holidays gave Jason a grounding in being ‘civilized’ to temper the wildness, and also a very necessary foundation of strength, resilience and independence.
After migrating with his parents to the Gold Coast, Jason discovered his love of words and writing, especially poetry. Coupled with the East African way of speaking from the heart, his early writing was raw, intense and rang of a child’s truth.
Jason has now moved to the hinterland of Byron Bay to dedicate his time to his writing and his boys – striving to create a real social platform to reach young boys and allow them passage to become kind, gracious men.
